Twist Solutions, Inc. was founded in Washington state in 1986 as partnership with the goal of providing IT services to small businesses in the Seattle and Tacoma area. We found that all too often, business owners had wandered in to a computer store and were promised a panacea of functionality by a sales person, and they bought an expensive piece of equipement that on its own did little to meet their ill defined needs. Most of these businesses could not afford a full time information technology person, or had hired someone who was technically skilled but did not have a business background.

Our founding principle was to educate our small business customers and assist them in getting the most out of the personal computers they had purchased. Twist Solutions would analyze our customers’ business and provide recommendations where processes could be improved or streamlined and where technology may or may not enhance these processes.

From these modest beginnings, fast forward nearly a decade. We found that we were now working with larger businesses providing the same services but providing strategic consulting for them. In 1995 we encounter SAP for the first time, way back in version 2.2d when the documentation hadn’t been complete translated to English and often times messages in the system came up in German. As fate would have it, one of the two partners in Twist Solutions was fluent in German and we switched focus to strictly SAP Finance consulting. Twist Solutions, Inc. was eventually incorporated in Minnesota in 2007 with one of the founding partners as the sole owner.

Over the past 20 years, we’ve gather quite a bit of knowledge about SAP Finance and would like to share that knowledge. Atricles will be appearing on this site with tips, techiniques, snippets of functional specifications that we’ve found are repated time and again. We don’t know everything as bviously, nobody knows everything aobut SAP, ore even any one of its modules; anybody who makes such a claim is lying or woefully ignorant.

We’ll also be setting up a forum for members to ask questions and assist each other. If you so choose, member can also comment on articles, suggest improvements, or submit their own articles for inclusion on this site.
